I took the computer up to Indiana for the cable people to hook up for high speed internet! It is suppose to be even better than dsl. Naturally ran into a problem! The people we are buying the house from where not moved out in time for us to be there for the cable guy!
So my wonderful portal to the world it sitting on the living room floor of my new home! And I am down here in Kentucky!
Due to further complications regarding the logistics of my move and beginning the new job....it may be the following week before I am back up! Two weeks! Great Mother of God!
I'm not sure I will survive the withdrawl!

What a bummer!. Computer withdrawal symptoms are awful. I am lost without mine if I encounter a problem. Hope it all gets sorted quickly. Have a good week xxxx
Don't go walking thru the grass barefoot, you'll get snakebit! We will look forward to your next post. Anne
If our high speed goes down I revert right back to dial up. Slow is better than nothing....
:)
Awful. Just plain awful...(seriously, I would have a big problem with that prospect!)
Good luck!

Two weeks! Good luck!
No landline to use dial up? It's actually better than nothing. I was stuck with it for a while.

I love the way everybody disses dial-up. I have never had anything but dial-up. I am not about to spend $50 or more per month just for high-speed interntet service. C'mon, Mary...just plug it into the phone...! <G> Lisa :-]
OH man You may want to change your cable hook up I got several friends who said they hated it and it was not near as fast except on uploads but downloads and web surfing suffered so they are back on DSL
Oh ugh! Did you have penalties in your closing contract with the people you purchased the house from? I hope they have to pay you for not being moved out on time!
I really like my DSL. Several of my friends have not been able because when the cable goes out for weather problems they can't sign on. I hope yours gets hooked up and goes well.Good luck with it all! Nelle
Great Gobs of Disaster! If it takes two weeks all of us that are hooked on reading you will have to go thru withdrawl too. Pennie
hang in there

New start-No withdrawl, just excitement at something new. Good Luck, Bill.
I bet the local library will be seeing a lot of you. Or maybe the pub? I hear some have computers now. ;-) Good luck with the final moving trauma!

HS Internet is worth the wait. You'll see. : )
Good luck,
Angela
Bet your life it's worth the wait. DSL is not what they say it is. I am about to switch to VOip and get away from MA BELL. I had to wait 3 weeks between the time we moved and settled into our new house to get my HS back. It is worth it.
Let me get this straight: you go offline for a few weeks (cuz dial-up isn't good enough? :) and you get twenty-seven - 27!!!!- comments?
I don't think I've gotten that many since I started my blog.
Some people's kids . . .
