The horses are always beautiful but this day my mind is focused on the race with which we have been running for years now. My daughter Graduates from school today with our homeschool group. Shes the real winner in my eyes. My favorite and my colors

As I used to say as a kid...."Go horsies GO!"  LOL I never picked a favorite. I just loved to watch them run.

AWESOME picture...
Would you believe, even living just five minutes away from Churchill Downs, and worse, even having WORKED at Churchill Downs, I've never been to one of the morning workouts there...(you know, Dawn at the Downs!)
it's just so early in the morning to get up...
I'm so ashamed.
This picture is beautiful, I'm so excited about the race tomorrow.

Can hear the hoofbeats upon the turf ... see the dust flying, the dirt spraying from those powerful gaits... hear the crowd roar and cheer as the horses explode from the gates and jostle for postion ... smell the sweat flying from those sweltering flanks as the rider works each equistrian into a lather.  Ah me take me out to the races ma... got few in me pocket I can spare.

Thanks for the imagery.

REALLY nice photograph!

Okay ~ I've just picked my horse for the Derby ~ Greeley's Galaxy.  Or maybe Bandini (I like his slacks).  I have 45 minutes to decide.... ;)
