I REMEMBER!!

Shame on me, I could not remember Mark's last name.

I woke up this morning and the first thought in my head was .... His Last Name. It sounded so much like a hilarious post Saturday Night Live comic's name that I thought maybe I was wrong. I checked on-line and sure enough, there is a doctor in North Kentucky, an internist, with that name! Hurray! I remembered. I will drop him a line in the next several days. We will see what happens.

Things like this happen to me all the time. I'll be searching for the answer to a tricky question and wake up in the morning with the solution fresh in my head. I'll wake up and go, "Oh no!! I forgot to do 'this or that' yesterday".

All the time.

Its a lot easier and healthier than banging my head on concrete or ice. That brings it home too. I come to seeing stars and saying, "Oh yes, that's where I left that key to the old root cellar in 1965."

At least you remember in the morning! I tend to wake up about 3 am with the information I need, and tend to forget again by morning, lol! I hope he is happy to hear from you :)

I am like Suzy, although my time of clarity is usually around 2 a.m.!  And, by morning, I have lost the info again in the vast emptiness of my memory bank!  Jae

Boy could I related to THIS entry. This morning in my usual rush I locked myself out of the house by ASSuming the keys were in my purse. Wrong.....husband had used them and tossed them into HIS key basket. I was locked out and was calling my Mom to come help me when my cel phone went dead. She DID come and took me to Rob's work where I borrowed his house key. I also forgot to record the soccer game that I promised him I would. Got home and put barbecue sauce on the chicken which I forgot to parboil first. Took forever to cook on the grill. OH I hope this is not going to become a usual type day for me. Way too frustrating.

This happens to me all the time, too.  I am mulling and gnawing on something, go to bed, and miraculously (often upon awaking or in the shower), there's the answer.  Or, along the same lines, I will be puttering around and suddenly something that needs to be done or urgently remembered will pop into my head--my guardian angel watching over me, as my mom would say.  (Oh, my gosh--MOM???)   The human brain is truly amazing (although forgetting things happens probably just as often.  I'm famous for double-scheduling myself).
Here's a memory question--did I or did I not see that poem by Yeats which was recited at Paul's son's wedding (June 12 entry) in your journal, perhaps last summer?  I'm not going to go searching your archives, but just curious.  I don't read very many journals, but it could have been someone else's.
Let us know what happens with Mark!!

yay! I'm glad you remembered...in my case, I usually don't remember until like a month later...or never, unless someone reminds me. i've never tried banging my head on ice though.

Sleep is a wonderful time ... your mind is finally relaxed and can remember all those little details.  I find it better than banging my head!

I do that too --  wake up with the answer I'd been struggling to find!  Glad you remembered his last name and hope you get in touch with him.

Don't you just love when that happens ?  It's like a little present.   I'm glad that you recalled the name, and I'm hoping that you write and tell what happens when you get in touch with him.   Tina

I've a good time going back and reading what has happened in your life since I have been gone.  Mother of the Bride, huh?  Congratulations, I guess.  My Mother of the Groom experience left me exhausted.  I hope you have more then that.  Pennie
