MORNING HAS BROKEN

I got up very early this morning due to a 6am meeting (yes, I was in shock for a long time regarding the barbaric hour that go along with this job). The meeting was postponed  to next week, so I took the opportunity for an early morning visit to Keeneland Race track to watch the horses in their morning work outs.

A stunning sunrise. I am tempted to gush on about it, but I will just let the picture tell the story. As I watched transfixed, I thought there is not an artist living or dead who could come close to this masterpiece.

Of course not. This one has God's signature on it.

Wow. Great shot. I am never up early enough for a dawn shot, it seems. :)

oh, that's beautiful...maybe it's God's way of rewarding those who have to get up so early...you know, kind of like, "Stop complaining and look at THIS...".  Awesome...

Mary, This is an award winning photo! YOU and Mother Nature did GOOD!   Thanks, Anne

And people wonder why I believe in the Creator....How could one see this and fail to see the deliberate artistry in this and then fail to believe?

What a wonderful picture. I am amazed with your photography. You are truely an artist. Your stories and photos make me long for your beautiful Kentucky. Nutch and I were at Keeneland, Fasig-Tipton, & Walmac Farm in 1986 and were blown away by the beauty and grace of your state. Thanks for sparking a nice memory.

Your picture is as beautiful as the song. For those who don't know the words it goes like this: " Morning has broken like the 1st morning; blackbird has spoken like the 1st bird. Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning! Praise for them springing, fresh from the Word! Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven; Like the 1st dewfall on the first grass. Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden; Sprung in completeness where His feet pass. Mine is the sunlight! Mine is the morning, born of the one light, Eden say play! Praises with elation, praise every morning; God's recreation of the new day! "        Gaelic melody-words by Eleanor Farjeon.  The week of creation musta been awesome....the Bible says the angels of God shouted with joy when God laid the foundation of the earth!

Mary you are awesome!  Thanks for running, and being interested in TNT.  You doing 13 last year is terrific, and something you should be proud of.  And keeping it up with 10k's is rather commendable.  Thanks for visiting my journal too!  I will continue to visit yours.  I enjoy your writing (and pictures!).  Cya, kris

Fall sunrises are so often amazing.  It's almost as if the sky knows that time is running out.
