PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW

I look back at the past year and see that in March I had quite a few posts. Oh yes, that is when I purchased the Nikon D-50, had another birthday, St. Patricks Day and the Saw Doctors. Lot's of stuff going on.

And I look back at the three + years of posts I have accumulated here. I am so proud of some of them. Immediately I think of my Addicted to Love series. Followed closely by the Six Days In Cancun...which should have been Eight Days in Mexico, but once I had started it was hard to stop....

And all the people I have come into contact with here. Far too many to list....

Trish, my first commenter.

Lisa, my first blogger bud.

Jae, the keeper of  (my) secret(s)......?????

Gary, who offered  such invaluable encouragement.

For awhile now I have realized it is time to move on. AOL-J-Land and I are traveling in different directions. Have been for some time now.

What a long strange trip it's been.

p.s.....e-mail me if you want my new (actually rather old) "address"

Yes, I do want your address, and I hope you don't lose mine! I hate to see you go. Maybe you just need a break?

If you are meaning something other than your blog spot addy please clue me in. I do check there as well as here. I have always enjoyed your posts in both journals.

You are one of the few old timers left here, why do you have
to go? I never understand why people have to go! Can't you just stop in
now and then, and leave it at that?
I thinks back to the time before the banner ads and to the writers
that wrote here, the sense of community we shared and the quality
of the posts. Things have not been the same for over a year now, but
because of people like you, this place still feels like home to me.
I post very seldom these days, not sure if that's due to time limitations or motivation, but blogger never felt like home, even though it's filled with people that feel almost like family to me. You will be missed here.

Are you leaving this journal? I hope not.

I hope you're not leaving us permanently... maybe pop in once in awhile.
Take care.

I echo Robin's question...what DOES this mean?  Will you be posting at blogspot exclusively now?  I don't care where I read you, as long as I read you.  Lisa  :-]

I hate to see you go.  You are one of the first journals I began reading.  I would like the address to your new/old blog.  Best of luck!

I have an oldish blogspot address for you....but I don't know if this is where you're implying you'll be.  I'm sorry to see you leaving this blog.  For some reason, I have a harder time keeping up with blogs outside of AOL.  I think it's just a time thing and how convenient the alerts are here.  Let me know where you are...and I will be by from time to time.  I don't want to lose you....

:)

Wish you luck in your travels! Time wise for me it has gotten difficult to keep up with other journals and comment  as well as post in my own journal. Will miss your zany style and adventures. Thanks for sharing!

This is such sad news...seems our little group (of the past three years) has pretty much disbanded.  I feel abandoned!!!  I am going to miss this journal...I will follow you...Jae

We had one of our pitiful parades here in Newport the other day and I thought of you. :-)

I feel like I'm in left field. You were nice enough to comment on my journal yesterday and I came here to read yours and thank you, but you moved. I hope you check in periodically.

Dave's grandmother on her deathbed told me how she would finally get to see the baby she lost. She was in her eighties and still missed him....

Oh, send me your new address!
