Hurrican Katrina

My little kid sister Omega and her husband took a long week end and headed to New Orleans this past week. She is stuck there. No way out. My Mom spoke to them on Saturday night and Omega said "Not to worry".

Naturally I am worried. Please keep her and her husband in your thoughts and prayers. I'm certain they will be okay (my Mom has the ear of God) but she is still my kid sister and I love her.

On the other hand, I have a new hobby. Actually, I am embarking on a new hobby....wine making!!!! What else was I going to do with two pecks of peaches! According to the book, I need to start with something a little more simple. So, I'll follow those instructions and freeze the peaches for later.

Was offered the job. Joe wants me to take it. Will sleep on it.

I knew he was going to offer it to me. I just love this endless summer theme I have going.

I will keep them in my thoughts. Good luck with the wine, and the whine if you take the job, too!

I hear the storm went from a cat 5 to cat 1 and damage is much less than expected. Hope your sis came through it ok!

Will say a prayer for her tonight. (I do all my prayers right before bed for some reason.) I think the people made it through well overall. Keep us posted.

Hope that your sister and her husband are safe.  Winemaking your own bottles, that will be enjoyable and delicious.  Very happy that you made such a professional impression that you were asked to join the company!  Thank you for your prayers for my Mom and family.      mark

luckly everyone in my family is ok. they are not in new orleans though. but they are in other not so much affected places. i just want to thank God for keeping his hand of protection over them at this great time of need. i hope that more shelters will be opened as so as possible and that greatly needed supplies are sent to the people in need. You can help by making a donation to the Red Cross or other organizations like it. You can also go to your local H.E.B. and ask if you can still donate either money or other needed items such as disposible diapers, tuna (canned), bottled water, granola and cearal bars, peanut butter, etc. those are some iteams that i know some schools are collecting to donate to H.E.B. please do all you can to help. if you are a victiam of katrina my family, friends, community, local schools (private schools), and i are and will be praying for you and yours. just trust in God and he will bring you through this. please pray for all victiams of katrina and for the wonderful people who are helping out in this disaster. pray that more shelter will be avalible as soon as possible and supplies will be distributed to those in need as so as possible. please keep those affected by katrina in you thoughts and prays as they are in mine. if you need to find someone you can go to www.nola.com it would be a good place to start your search. i hope those midding are found very soon. remember just give it to God. bye!
