TOP TEN REASONS WHY THE IRISH FESTIVAL IS SO MUCH FUN

Number Ten - The Dog's of  Ireland Exhibit

Last year my sister and I traveled to the Dublin Irish Festival in Ohio and had such a great, wonderful, unforgettable experience we returned this weekend for the 2005 festival. My other sister, Kit, came along too. As did numerous other family members like husbands and kids.

Last year Omega fell in love with the Irish Terrier. They are wonderful with children, are rather small, and do not shed! She was thrilled when she realized this was the same dog from last year!He had a haircut and was show ready!

Kit would have purchased one of the Glen-of-Imaal-terrier puppies that were at the Dog Exhibit but they were already spoken for. You would not believe the asking price!!! There are only 25 breeders in the United States.

I have to admit, this is one cute puppy. I exhaled a little sigh of relief myself....

Oh come on!  What's the price?  With only 25 breeders, it's gotta be in the five grand range.

Lovin' me the doggies...

I went to a dog show once at the Ohio State Fair.  There was at least one purebred dog there that looked just like our Jenny Dog, except that I knew that Jenny's mother was a big gray curly haired dog, which Jenny wasn't at all.

When I was a kid, I had a poster of all the AKC breeds.  Now there are lots of them that I'm sure were not on that poster.  Not quite sure what to make of that, but I certainly don'r remember an Irish Terrier being on there.

Aww! I have to stay away from dog and cat shows...and pet stores. I have a tendency to fall in love and bring too many furry creatures home with me. LOL

I have yet to figure out just how a dog can comfortably sleep on its back. What a wonderful little puppy.

The puppy photo made my night.  I wish I could just lay my cheek against that soft little tummy, but will have to settle for the next best thing.  I'm off to find my cat for a fur fix. *debbi*

The only non Irish thing in our house is our dog lol.....he's a Shetland Sheepdog but he has an Irish name. AKC name is Bradach Solas MacRi and call name of Duffy. It was hard enough to find an available Sheltie pup in our area. This looks like a great place to visit. We have an Irish festival in NJ every year and we go.
