PHOTO FRIDAY: RURAL

I am drawn to this beautiful mill on the Elkhorn Creek.  To arrive here you take the road less traveled till you come to a tiny one lane bridge. You will find nestled  next to the side of the road a small patch of gravel that welcomes you to pull off and admire the  beauty and serenity of the Weisenberger Mill.

I photograph it every chance I get.  Sometimes racing to the bridge knowing the mist is rising and the sun is begining to break over the eastern tree line.

It's a little bit of heaven on earth.  Tucked into the rural country side.

Hmm! For sure a relic from the industrial age. I have a favorite mill too...but it's from colonial times. Very different!

This is a place that I know I would visit often....it looks very peaceful.  The mist really gives it a special effect.

This so beautiful.  It must be breath taking to see it in person, because it almost does that to me looking at the picture.  Pennie

Awesome picture! I like the way you framed the mill with that tree on the foreground. It gave the picture a sort of eerie quality.

Fantastic! It reminds me of a the Baker's Chocolate mill in Boston we used to drive by on the way to my Uncle's house in Randolph.
